Upcoming Wisconsin vacation

Since this weekend was filled with torrential downpours, there's not much to recap. Jason's U-12 boys competed in a soccer tournament at the Wide World of Sports. I attended Saturday and Sunday's games and while they lost big time, they still played well. They're a young team with a lot to learn, but they seem to be enjoying it and I know that Jason loves coaching.

On Thursday morning, we're headed back to Wisconsin (yay!!). I'm super excited, since we haven't been back since last July. Here's a little bit of what we hope to do (and a recap from last summer):
Take the Mustang for a drive up north.

Spend the weekend at the cottage.

Take the 4-wheelers out to the woods.

Go swimming in the lake.

Jason will attempt fishing for the third time ever.

Enjoy a pint of New Glarus Spotted Cow (not found in Florida).

Visit Sarah at the bakery.

Spend time with Monica.

Enjoy all that is grand about being a cheesehead.

We'll be back on Tuesday, with a lot of stories and a suitcase full of cheese curds!

Weekend Recap: Downtown Pour

On Saturday, we attended Downtown Pour with our good friends, April and Doug. Downtown Pour is an annual event in Orlando. It consists of wine vendors, local micro-breweries and live music. For $30 (or $20 if you're like me and used the promo code given by the radio station) you get a wine glass when you enter, all the wine tastings you can handle and plenty of swag from all the vendors. I even bought myself a new dress for the occasion–one of those long, flowy ones. It was fun to wear and super comfortable!

Enjoying the live music. I tried to catch Jason dancing, but wasn't quick enough!

Tents full of vendors

It was a beautiful Florida afternoon, with wonderful live music–a perfect early evening double date.

Two things I learned while enjoying this wonderful evening out:

Gladiator sandals are definitely the new trend.

If you're wearing a black bra under a white shirt, it's definitely NOT an accident.
