Pregnancy: Week 22

How far along? 22 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: +4 pound (total of 14 pounds gained)
Maternity clothes? That's all I'm wearing. I would like to get some new jeans though.

Stretch marks? Not yet. My mom didn't have any with me, and it's supposed to be genetic. So, here's praying for no stretch marks!

Sleep: Still tired, though even on my days off I can't sleep past 8.

Movement: Every day, though some days she's quieter than others.
Food cravings: Anything sweet
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: None

Belly Button in or out? In, but it's stretching!

What I am looking forward to: Our babymoon in Hawaii!

Jason's first kick

Last night, as we were researching our big Hawaii trip/babymoon, Bean started going crazy. Kicks were happening left and right - more than I've ever felt before. I had Jason put his hand on my belly and then the kicks stopped. Jason waited, sadly saying "She doesn't like me." Then he shouted, "Kick!" and little bean kicked his hand! It hasn't happened since, but I'm hopeful that the kicks will become a little more regular. (Of course, I hear that once you hit your last few weeks, all the kicking becomes uncomfortable!)

The Crib

I arrived home from work today to see a HUGE box sitting on our front porch. I immediately called Jason to let him know that our crib had arrived! I waiting anxiously for Jason to get home from work, as the box was waaaay to big for me to even think about moving it.

See, this thing is huge!

Jason opened the box in the living room and then brought each piece to the nursery. I was in charge of holding the pieces while Jason screwed them together.

Even the dogs sat and watched. Though they weren't quite sure what was going on.

The finished product. She's a beauty! I can't believe there will be a little baby here in only a few short months!

Pregnancy: Week 20

How far along? 20 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: +3 pound (total of 10 pounds gained)
Maternity clothes? Absolutely. I even ordered some new stuff from Gap online!

Stretch marks? No - I've been lotioning my belly like a fiend.

Sleep: I sleep 15 minutes later every day now.

Movement: Every day now! Still can't feel anything from the outside though.
Food cravings: Breyer's Natural Vanilla ice cream
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: None

Painting the Nursery

After finding out the gender, we were excited to get started on the nursery. I knew right from the start that I did not want pink walls. I wanted to do something different. After scouring the paint chips at Lowe's, we decided on a blue. Jason made the final decision on Valspar's Seaside Retreat color, Dusty Aqua. We emptied the room and spent the night painting (in a well-ventilated nursery). The end result? A beautiful blue-gray room. (Jason was excited that he still got some blue out of the situation, even with a little girl!)





We're planning on putting white crown molding up as well, but that will be a project for another weekend!

Baby clothes

Can I just say that baby clothes are the cutest things ever made? Never mind the fact that the baby will probably outgrow it before it wears out...

I cannot get enough. My mom, my sister and I went shopping after the gender ultrasound. It was so much more fun now that I knew what we were having! Here's a few of our purchases:

Notice the little brown shoes on the feet of the pajamas.

I love the ruffles on the butt.

Sometimes I wish they made the dresses in my size.
